The National Weather Service says there's a chance of showers and storms over Central Minnesota tonight. There's an even greater risk of storms Sunday night -- and some of those storms could be severe.

Stearns County has qualified for federal disaster assistance for the storms on July 1st and 10th. The county has had over $531,000 in uninsured damage to infrastructure.

Numerous cities across Stearns County are experiencing flooding after today's storms.

The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Advisory from noon tomorrow (Saturday) through 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for much of central Minnesota -- including Stearns, Sherburne and Benton Counties. It will be in effect from late tonight (Wednesday) through Thursday afternoon.

Strong thunderstorms rumbled through much of Minnesota again on Sunday night. Thunderstorm and Tornado warnings were posted for several counties as a cool front advanced across the state.

Gov. Mark Dayton has declared a state of emergency in 16 counties -- including the St. Cloud area -- because of extensive damage from the July 1 storms.

Central Minnesota's enjoyed a warm, summery weekend. But a cold front will slowly slide south from the northwest bringing the possibility of thunderstorms.  Some storms could be strong to severe with hail and wind and locally heavy rain...

Experts from the National Weather Service are still assessing the damage from last Friday's storm, but they say the system spawned several tornadoes as it made it's way across the state. Two EF-1 tornadoes have been confirmed in Redwood County, one in Renville County, and one in Stearns County -- near the I-94 and Highway 23 interchange.
