ST. CLOUD -- Steven Sohlstrom of FlightFlash.com took his plane and camera out (after the winds went down Wednesday night) and got some overhead views of the fresh snow.

More than 300 members of the 367th Engineer Battalion, which is headquartered in St. Cloud, recently returned home from active duty in Iraq and Kuwait. Saturday, the battalion was honored in a packed ceremony at the St. Cloud Civic Center.

Spring is well on it's way, and local photographer Steven Sohlstrom shared a collection of aerial images highlighting this.

A smash hit - around $2,000 and 500 pounds of food were collected in a single day through the efforts of St. Cloud Catholic Charities and Pioneer Place on Fifth. The "Pack the Porch" Food Drive was held today from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. Volunteers met donors at their car to assist with unloading food items.

The conditions were less than balmy, but the 2011 St. Cloud Polar Plunge was a huge success. Over 500 plungers raised more than $70,000 for the Special Olympics of Minnesota.
