The Twins will take Thursday off before beginning a series with the Tampa Bay Rays Friday night at Target Field. First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 on AM 1240 WJON.

The Twins will host the Rockies again Wednesday night at 7:10. The game can be heard on AM 1240 WJON beginning with the pregame show at 6:30.

Kennys Vargas smacked a two-run home run in the fourth inning off of White Sox starter Mike Pelfrey to give the Twins a 3-2 lead. Twins outfielder Byron Buxton had a three hit game, while Joe Mauer and Jorge Polanco each had a pair of hits in the win.

The anticipated pitcher's duel between Ervin Santana and Chris Sale never truly materialized, with Santana giving up three runs in the top of the first inning and Sale allowing the Twins to tie the game with four runs in the fifth.

The Twins will host the Boston Red Sox Friday night at Target Field. Phil Hughes will get the start for Minnesota against the Red Sox Eduardo Rodriguez.

The Twins will host the Athletics again Thursday afternoon. First pitch is scheduled for 12:10 p.m. on AM 1240 WJON.

Minnesota batted around in the fifth inning, at one point stringing together five straight hits. Miguel Sano started the surge with a solo home run, and capped the rally with an RBI single but was thrown out trying to advance to second.

The Twins will play at Texas again on Tuesday night. The game can be heard on AM 1240 WJON, with first pitch scheduled for 7:10 p.m.
