The Oakland A's salvaged the final game of a three game series in Minnesota with an 8-5 win Thursday at Target Field. The Twins fall to 14-12 on the season.

Twins starter Kyle Gibson struggled again, allowing four runs on eight hits and three walks to fall to 0-4 on the season with an 8.20 earned run average. Gibson was demoted to AAA Rochester after the game.

The Twins will host the Boston Red Sox Friday night at Target Field. Phil Hughes will get the start for Minnesota against the Red Sox Eduardo Rodriguez.

First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 on AM 1240 WJON.
