Behind the Scenes: Putting Quality Care in Your Suits And Laundry [VIDEO]

ST. CLOUD -- This week in our "Behind the Scenes" series on WJON, we take dry cleaning to another level at Quality Cleaners.

Quality Cleaners in downtown St. Cloud has been providing quality service for the last 75 years.

"We try to do a top notch job and our customers have been using us for years and years," says Sjobeck.

Owner Mark Sjobeck says they launder and dry clean about 400 items a day and it all starts with a ticket.

"After we tag the clothes in the front, they get sorted by starch preference on the shirts," says Sjobeck.

After sorting, the shirts are cleaned from stains and put through the wash, but items like suits are thrown in a special machine.

"You would put the garments in like you put them in a wash machine, they are cleaned and dried in that same machine," says Sjobeck.

Once the items are washed they are then moved to a pressing station where shirts are dried and suits are steamed.

"After the suits, pants and jackets get done in the dry cleaning process they come up and get steamed pressed," says Sjobeck.

Then the clothes are bagged, hung on a conveyer belt and ready for pick up.

"It's usually a two day turn-around on most of the items," says Sjobeck.

Sjobeck says a lot of loving hands and hard work go into this process and the staff prides themselves in putting quality into each item.

"Our employees have been with us for a long time and really care about what they do," says Sjobeck.

Quality Cleaners are open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to noon.
