PELLA, Iowa (AP) -- Minnesota congresswoman Michele Bachmann says she voted against the federal budget compromise because it failed to remove funding for the health care bill enacted last year.

The Republican is considering a campaign for the 2012 presidential nomination.

Bachmann was among only six Republicans to oppose the deal.

She says she was disappointed with the bill, adding that "voters expected us to defund Obama-care."

Bachmann spoke as part of a series sponsored by The Family Leader, an Iowa conservative organization that has invited prospective presidential candidates to Iowa. Bachmann later was headed to Iowa City.

Aides say Bachmann could decide by next month whether to seek the Republican presidential nomination.
