Are These the Best Eggrolls in Minnesota?

Full disclosure, I’m not an eggroll guy, and far from an eggroll expert, but with that said, I believe I’ve found the best eggrolls in Central Minnesota, if not all of Minnesota. 

It’s not that I don’t like eggrolls, they’re just not my item of choice, but I have had some good ones.  

More full disclosure, I’m very partial to Up In Smoke BBQ in St. Cloud and have a business partnership where I endorse their business and their food.  

All that being said, their eggrolls just hit different.  

The ingredients in an eggroll have to blend together well for me, and when I had the Up In Smoke eggrolls recently, the ingredients were all working with one another beautifully. I couldn’t believe the flavor. 

I took the eggroll home to my wife, who is somewhat of an aficionado of eggrolls, and she was blown away as well. 

Inside the eggroll from Up In Smoke, you’ll get their delicious smoked pulled pork, combined with cabbage, shredded carrots, and their signature honey pineapple sauce.  

In talking with Tim, he and his wife Tamera own Up In Smoke, this tasty creation came to life after Tim’s favorite place to get eggrolls shut down. He knew the owner and got some of their ingredients and then added his pork and sauce, and voila, a customer favorite was born. 

You can get one eggroll for $3.99, or three for $10.99. My wife and I were at Up In Smoke on Sunday and we ordered their two meat combos and three eggrolls to go along with them. There’s enough food there for a couple of meals, to me that’s the way to go. 

While I was waiting, another couple came in and ordered food, and after they ordered, the lady said to her husband, “oh look, they have appetizers too. Maybe we should get some”. I spoke up and proclaimed my love for their eggrolls, which led to them ordering three of their own.  

Then another couple came in, and they ordered an eggroll and one of the Smokin Up Jalapeno Poppers, which are tasty as well.  

If you like Eggrolls, you owe it to yourself to try the ones from Up In Smoke BBQ. Don’t deny your taste buds this, that would be cruel.  

You can find Up In Smoke BBQ at 2nd Street South in St. Cloud. They will also be set up on Wednesday nights at Lake George for the summer concerts. And yes, they’ll have their eggrolls there each week. But I would get them early, they will be popular each week.
