A Ramsey Family Farm Known For Fall Fun Has Moved Closer To St. Cloud!
For fans of fall fun, you might note that one area family fall fun farm has moved! The Pearson Family Farm that used to be in Ramsey has now moved closer to St. Cloud, as they are setting up near Clear Lake. The farm made the emotional announcement on social media that the move was complete over the weekend.
We made a trip out to the old Ramsey farm yesterday, to collect more display pieces and other "stuff" to bring to the new barn. It was a long hot day, and hard work!
It was an emotional day, too. That old farm was in the Pearson family for over 80 years. It's hard to see houses sprouting up where we once grew beans, corn, pumpkins, and beautiful golden fields of rye. Only the barnyard, with the big white barn and some pole barns still bear witness to the past.
But we've been blessed, finding a new home and a farm that will be just the right size for us now. The new barn is up, and we love it! It doesn't have quite the antique ambience of the old one, but there are definite advantages to a new building. And it's red!
We're excited about our new life here and committed to bringing the same wonderful, family-friendly fall festivities to the Clear Lake farm as we had in Ramsey. You'll find the same kinds of farm games as well as the corn maze, hay wagon rides, chickens, and other fun activities.
This year's corn maze, after all the rain and sun, is just gorgeous. Cory and Dan planted 60 varieties of pumpkins, gourds, and squash again, so you'll find the usual plethora of options in those. We have our delicious farm-grown popcorn, too, and the sunflower field should be blooming just in time for the fall events.
You'll find the same autumn decor - corn stalks, straw bales, the pumpkins and gourds, broom straw and sorghum, handcrafted items, antique farm items, pieces from the old farmhouse, and more. We've got a "Cut Your Own Flowers" stand, too!
Most importantly, you'll find the same great people. We love it here, and we're looking forward to another great fall season filled with friendly faces and happy families. We missed you last year!
We'll open the barn doors on September 1, but our big "opening weekend" is the 7th and 8th. The 8th is our annual Grandparents' Day at the Farm! Then we'll be open every day in September and October, from 10-6.
Because this is a new location for us, we're still trying to spread the word. If you've visited us before, please come out and spend the day! Tell your friends!
We are still on HWY 10, but a much quieter, safer part of it! It's at the corner of HWY 10 and 100th Ave. SE, just north of Becker, as you approach Clear Lake. You'll see our new red barn on the east side of HWY 10.
The announcement also noted that the barn will open up on September 1st but the real fall fun starts the weekend of September 7th and 8th.
Follow the Pearson Family Farm on social media for more updates about the move and what you can expect moving forward at the new location in Clear Lake.
