Zimmerman Man Arrested After Allegedly Fleeing

ZIMMERMAN - A 21-year-old Zimmerman man is facing several charges after he tried to run from police.

The Sherburne County Sheriff's Department says the incident started yesterday (Thursday) on 140th Street in Zimmerman.

Brett Wood was wanted on an outstanding warrant.  When an officer spotted him driving a vehicle, the officer tried to stop him but he took off.  Wood lead police right to the home where he'd been staying.  He got out of his vehicle and tried to run into the nearby woods.  Additional deputies were called in and he was arrested.

Wood is facing charges of fleeing police, providing false information, driving after revocation, and having an outstanding warrant.
