16 SCSU Football Players Named to All NSIC Team

St. Cloud State had 16 players named to the All NSIC North Division All Conference team Tuesday. The first-teamers from St. Cloud State improve offensive lineman Andrew Beckmann, quarterback Philip Klaphake, running back Michael Walker, receiver Eli Shoemaker, defensive lineman Jeff Bias, linebacker Mark Martin and defensive back Jack Moro.

SCSU Football Season Wrap-up [AUDIO]

The St. Cloud State Football closed their season Saturday with a 39-37 road win at Minnesota State-Moorhead. The Huskies finished the season with a 7-4 record. Junior quarterback Phil Klaphake is a Harlon Hill finalist for College Football's top award after putting up some great numbers in 2012. Klaphake threw for 2,760 yards and 28 touchdowns and ran for 807 yards and 9 touchdowns.

SCSU Football Closes Season With Tight Win at Moorhead

The St. Cloud State football team won 39-37 at Minnesota State-Moorhead Saturday afternoon. The field with wet and soggy but SCSU led 19-15 at halftime and didn't trail in the 2nd half. Phil Klaphake ran for 165 yards and 2 touchdowns and threw for 221 yards and 2 touchdowns for SCSU. Michael Walker ran for 84 yards and 1 touchdown for the Huskies.

SCSU’s Klaphake on Harlon Hill Finalist List

St. Cloud State junior quarterback Phil Klaphake has been named one of 24 finalists for the top player in Division II college football, the Harlon Hill Trophy. Klaphake threw for 2,519 yards and 26 touchdowns and has run for 460 yards and 7 touchdowns for the Huskies in 2012. He ranks in the top three in the NSIC in passing average per game, total offense and pass efficiency.

Huskies Pound Minot State

The St. Cloud State football team won 57-10 Saturday afternoon to end a 2-game losing streak. Phil Klaphake threw for 225 yards and 3 touchdowns, Ladell White ran for 160 yards and 2 touchdowns and Michael Walker ran for 100 yards and 1 touchdown for SCSU. The Huskies led 34-0 at halftime.

SCSU Football Falls to Bemidji State 37-20

The St. Cloud State football team lost 37-20 Saturday afternoon to Bemidji State to suffer their 2nd straight loss and drop to 5-4 overall and 4-2 in the North Division of the NSIC. Bemidj State led by 10 at halftime and didn't trail after that. Philip Klaphake threw for 256 yards and 3 touchdowns with 2 interceptions and was SCSU's leading rusher with 47 yards.

SCSU Football Preview; Huskies Host Bemidji State [AUDIO]

The St. Cloud State Football team will play at home Saturday against Bemidji State at 1pm at Husky Stadium. The Huskies are coming off a 28-27 loss at Northern State last Saturday and out of playoff contention. St. Cloud State is 5-3 overall and 3-1 in the North Division of the NSIC.

Northern State Shocks Huskies 28-27

The St. Cloud State football team saw their 4-game win streak come to an end Saturday with a 28-27 loss at Nothern State in Aberdeen, South Dakota. SCSU trailed 14-7 at halftime and 21-7 after 3 quarters. The Huskies outscored the Wolves 20-7 in the 4th quarter. SCSU took a 27-21 lead on a Phil Klaphake 2-run TD run with :42 left but the extra point was blocked. Nothern State won the game on a 34-yard touchdown pass on the last play of the game. They made their extra point to win it.
