SCSU head football coach Scott Underwood announced the signing of 27 recruits on Wednesday afternoon on the Fan.

A handful of local products will wear the cardinal and black for SCSU including Sauk Rapids offensive lineman Trevor Waldorf.

"A lot of different areas were filled for us. The key is the offensive lineman," Underwood said. "They are 265 or bigger, and we got a kid from Sioux Falls who is 6'9" and 280 lbs."

"We project to redshirt as we have in the past," Underwood said. "The O-lineman need time in the weight room to grow."

The Huskies signed quarterback McKinley Anderson from Hutchinson. "He brings a great athletic presence out there. He can really run," Underwood said.

Also signed was offensive lineman Kyle Schramel from Rocori. "He's a big offensive lineman, moves really well," Underwood said. "He will need to put on some weight in the weight room but we really like his frame."

"The two areas of true need were the o-lineman and linebackers," Underwood said. "We felt like we did a great job in signing the linebackers. We got five of them."
