BLOOMINGTON - You Betcha! If you have some Norwegian heritage, you have a chance to be a reality TV star in Norway.

Today (Tuesday) on the New @ Noon show on WJON I talked with Joan O'Connor a casting producer for the O'Connor Casting Company.  It's her job to find 12 Norwegian Americans for the hit reality show "Alt For Norge".

They are hosting an open casting call this Saturday, December 21st at the Mall of America.  If you're interested, the open call is from 10:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

The main requirements are that you have Norwegian heritage, you've never been to Norway before, and you must be at least 18-years-old.

A good contestant is someone who is authentic, fun, and adventurous.

O'Connor describes the show as kind spirited.  She says it's sort of "Amazing Race meets Who Do You Think You Are?".  It's the #1 reality show in Norway, it's won two Emmys, and the past contestants have become celebrities there.

The winner gets $50,000 American dollars, plus they meet their Norwegian relatives.
