Governor Dayton Talks with WJON about Bonding Proposal [AUDIO]

UNDATED - When Governor Dayton released his bonding proposal earlier this week, he included money for a new parking ramp in downtown St. Cloud - which is the next phase of the River's Edge Convention Center project.  He also included money for Civic Centers in Rochester and Mankato, and for projects in both downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul.

During an interview with WJON news, Dayton says he learned from his father to invest in downtowns.

Governor Mark Dayton announced his $775 million proposal earlier this week.  Some Republicans have indicated they'd like a smaller bill.  Dayton says, if they pass a smaller bill, they'll have some explaining to do.

Dayton says he had nearly $2 billion in requests for money.
