but may create a bit of a headache for downtown businesses and residents for the next week or so

The city we are talking about is  Princeton. My hometown has one major stretch through its downtown area, and over the next week or so, you may need to find a route and park in a different location if you have appointments, or work downtown.

Princeton is the next lucky city to experience some construction as the city is going to be making some extensive improvements over the next week.

THE RE-CONSTRUCTION AREA

The intersection of Rum River Drive and 7th Avenue North will be closed on Monday, July 29th, 2025. The alternate route is up on their Facebook page as well. I don't think it will be a difficult route, but I would expect that people needing to get to work, should leave a bit early to make sure they can get through the construction area.

OTHER ROUTES

If you don't need to get to downtown Princeton, You can always get around Princeton, by taking Highway 95 to Highway 169, but I've heard that there may be some closures along 169 as well.

The city is making several necessary improvements. The reconstruction project will be focused on installing sanitary sewer, water main, and storm sewer across Rum River Drive.

CITY OF PRINCETON FACEBOOK PAGE

The City of Princeton stated on their Facebook page that the work being done is quite extensive and that the roads will be closed all week.

The city is anticipating having the roads open again before August 5th, 2025.
