Weekend Rain Helps Alleviate Severe Drought in Central Minnesota

ST. CLOUD - We got some much needed rain over the weekend.

The National Weather Service says we received 1.23 inches of rain on Saturday, with a total of 1.26 inches between Saturday and Sunday.

We're still about a half-inch below normal for the month of September, and we're several inches below normal since late June.

Central Minnesota has been in a severe drought, the weekend rain should help alleviate the drought somewhat.
