Tri-County Humane Society Pet Patrol: HVAC & Mitzi
Meet HVAC! He was transferred to TCHS from another organization, so we don’t know much about this 1-year-old German Shepherd mix's history. He appears to have spent a lot of time outdoors in the past, but he seems interested in transitioning to an indoor lifestyle. He's very sweet, but he’s been a bit shy with us in new situations. HVAC would benefit from a high-quality adult maintenance diet and plenty of toys; check out options available in the TCHS Re-Tail Shoppe (all profits go back to TCHS pets).
Mitzi is a spayed 6-year-old cat who is super friendly, outgoing, and affectionate. (Here's the rub - sometimes she gets overstimulated with that attention she loves so much and will nip. Hey, she's a cat of contradictions!) We recommend plenty of indoor enrichment and the use of Feliway (available in the TCHS Re-Tail Shoppe) to help Mitzi adjust to a new home. Mitzi is front declawed, so she should be indoors unless she’s out for some supervised fresh air time. She's friendly interacting with young children but may do best with older kids who can identify the signs of her becoming overstimulated. Her adoption fee would be waived for a senior citizen or veteran.
Check out all the animals available for adoption by going to the Tri-County Humane Society’s website or Facebook page. Or visit them at 735 8th Street Northeast in St. Cloud. They’re open Monday through Thursdays Noon to 6; Fridays noon to 8; Saturdays 11 to 5; and Sundays Noon to 5.
