The players are St. Cloud State's Phil Imholte and Garrett Anderson, Nebraska lefthanded pitcher Zach Hirsch, Minnesota infielder Tony Skjefte, Minnesota righthanded pitcher Ben Meyer, Creighton righthander Andy Urban, Wayne State pitcher Tadd Johnson, California righthander Keaton Siomkin, California infielder Chris Paul, and Ohio catcher J.R. Reynolds. Hirsch, Urban, Johnson and Reynolds played for the St. Cloud River Bats in 2011.

The Gopher men's basketball team defeated the University of Washington 68-67 in overtime at Madison Square Garden in New York in the NIT semifinals to advance to the NIT finals in New York Thursday night against Stanford at 6pm, pregame on AM 1390-the Fan at 5:30. Minnesota led by 12 at halftime and by as many as 15 points in the first half. Andre Hollins led the Gophers with 20 points including making all 7 of his free throw attempts. Rodney Williams added 18 points and 9 rebounds and Austin Hollins had 12 points for Minnesota.

The Timberwolves lost 93-86 at Memphis Tuesday night to fall to 24-27 on the season. Kevin Love led the Wolves with 28 points and 11 rebounds and Wayne Ellington had 15 points for Minnesota. The Wolves shot 39 percent while Memphis shot 42 percent. The Wolves were out-rebounded 49-40. Rudy Gay led the Grizzlies with 21 points.
