St. Cloud Symphony Orchestra

The St. Cloud Symphony Orchestra is kicking off its 2017-2018 season Friday.

This St. Patrick's weekend is all about music as the traditional Irish music group, Ring of Kerry, performs with the St. Paul Irish Dancers, guitar wizard Shaun Hopper visits the Paramount, an award-winning Ukrainian pianist will walk you through some of the most famous piano sonatas in history, and the St. Cloud Symphony Ochestra celebrates their 40th anniversary. It's all about the music this weekend as Clint Black comes to Grand Casino Mille Lacs, Allman Joy plays classic Allman Brothers hits at Pioneer Place, the St. Cloud Symphony Orchestra performs at SCSU, and the infectious energy of 32 Below will have you rocking at the Medina Entertainment Center. The St. Cloud Symphony Orchestra will be playing Beatles songs this Saturday during their special preview concert. Trumpet player Patrick Thorn arranged the music for the concert.

Featuring Holiday Events through the month of December this weekend doesn't disappoint. It's the weekend of Winter Wonderland, and the Winter Nights and Lights Parade. Also catch the GRAMMY award winning due, The Okee Dokee Brothers, in concert.

September is Classical Music Month and the St. Cloud Symphony Orchestra continues to bring that music to the public.

I've been to many concerts in the past, and enjoyed many different scenarios...but I couldn't recall ever attending a professional Symphony Orchestra presentation....So I thought...I'm going! What an experience. You still have a chance to enjoy these wonderful musicians.
