Sauk Rapids residents can learn more about a plan to extend the half cent sales tax. Public information meetings will be held from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. and from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. today (Monday) in the Community Room of the Sauk Rapids Government Center.

The city of Sauk Rapids is showing-off their city hall today (Monday). They have an open house, with guided tours, at the new Government Center at 4:00 p.m.

The Sauk Rapids city offices will be closed tomorrow (Friday). The employees will be busy making the move to the new Government Center.

Our mild winter has allowed construction of the Sauk Rapids Government Center to get ahead of schedule, and under budget. Mayor Dave Saunders says city employees could be moving into their new offices in just a few months.

Construction work is starting on the site for the new Sauk Rapids Government Center. Prep work this week includes removing old buildings, grading, and foundation work.
