Five days of Stearns County summer fun kicks off on Wednesday. The Stearns County Fairgrounds are in Sauk Centre (1105 Ash St. S). Here are some highlights for each day:

A Sauk Centre man was taken to the hospital and given a citation after rolling his vehicle on Monday night. The incident happened at 7:45 p.m. on County Road 186 in Getty Township.

A Sauk Centre man was hurt in a broadside crash in rural Stearns County this (Monday) afternoon.

A Sauk Centre man is seriously hurt after going off the road and hitting a tree on New Years Eve. The incident happened just before 9:30 p.m.

A vehicle rolled in Todd County yesterday morning after a woman tried to avoid hitting a squirrel in the road. The Todd County Sheriff's Office says Teri Terwilliger of Sauk Centre was traveling east on County Road 2, just past County Road 99, when a squirrel came from the shoulder of the road.

Road construction in Sauk Centre will force motorists to take a detour for two months. The Stearns County Highway Department says work will begin on County Highway 72, also known as Beltline Road Monday.

Another phone scam is popping up in Central Minnesota. The Todd County Sheriff's Office received the scam complaint on Monday.

A man and two women are charged with kidnapping after a traffic stop in Sauk Centre.
