Rochester police say a grandfather shot and critically wounded his teenage granddaughter after mistaking her for an intruder. Authorities say the man and his wife were asleep and awoke to a noise outside about 11 p.m. Monday.

Her name is Mira. And, IBM says she may be the most powerful computer in the world. IBM is expected to announce Tuesday that it's received a contract from the Department of Energy to build Mira at its facility in Rochester.

RED WING  (AP) -- A Rochester man is recovering after crashing into a wandering cow in southeast Minnesota. Nineteen-year-old Joshua Pettey was driving with his mother and girlfriend near Red Wing Sunday when the cow stepped onto a road.

A 23-year-old Rochester man is in jail after police say he was caught with two handguns in a duffel bag at Apache Mall.

Mayo Clinic is accused of filing false claims for federal reimbursement. A civil complaint filed Monday accuses the Minnesota nonprofit of improperly billing for surgical pathology services that were never rendered.
