A problem with lack of parking near Bernicks Arena took a step forward. A public hearing was held during tonight's (Monday) Sartell City Council meeting for approval on a Conditional Use Permit for Pinecone Regional Park, which would allow for an additional 283 parking spots on the lot.
The first step on whether to expand the parking lot in front of Bernicks Arena in Sartell has been taken. Back in April, the council agreed to follow staff recommendation to delay engineering work until more overall site concepts were discussed.
What to do with the limited parking near Bernick's Arena continues to be brought to the table for discussion. The Sartell City Council continued discussion this evening (Monday) on the possibility of adding an additional 208 parking spaces in the open field directly in front of the arena.
