The Minnesota Wild saw their 5-game win streak get snapped Thursday night when San Jose beat Minnesota 3-1. Kyle Brodziak scored the lone Wild goal. San Jose scored 3 goals in the 2nd period. Niklas Backstrom had 33 saves for the Wild. San Jose outshot the Wild 36-22.

The Minnesota Wild have won 5 games in a row after a 3-0 win over Calgary on the road Tuesday night. Niklas Backstrom had 41 saves to get the shutout in net for Minnesota. Dany Heatley had a goal and an assist, Darrell Powe and Guillaume Latendresse each added a goal for the Wild. Heatley leads the team with 10 points.

Minnesota Wild goaltender Josh Harding is the NHL first star this week after leading the Wild to 4 straight wins. The Wild are 3-0 last week with wins at Detroit and against Vancouver and St. Louis. Harding is still considered the 2nd string goaltender with the Wild behind starter Niklas Backstrom.

The Minnesota Wild beat the Vancouver Canucks 5-1 Thursday night to win their 3rd straight game. Vancouver led 1-0 after 1 period but Minnesota scored 3 goals in the 2nd period and 2 more in the 3rd. Matt Cullen had 2 goals and 1 assist and Pierre-Marc Bouchard added a goal and 2 assists for Minnesota.

The Minnesota Wild will host Vancouver at 7pm tonight, pregame on WJON at 6:35. Josh Harding will get the start at goaltender for the Wild according to head coach Mike Yeo.

The Minnesota Wild defeated Detroit 2-1 in overtime Tuesday night. Devin Setoguchi scored the game-winning goal for the Wild after Mikko Koivu tied the game at 1 apiece in the 3rd period. Josh Harding had 36 saves for Minnesota. Detroit outshot the Wild 37-27.

The Minnesota Wild sent right wing Brett Bullmer back to his junior hockey club, the Kelowna Rockets of the Western Hockey League. The 19-year old British Colombia native began the season with the Wild as a bit of a surprise. He has 3 assists and 6 penalty minutes for the Wild this season.

The Anaheim Ducks beat the Wild 3-2 Thursday night at the Xcel Energy Center of St. Paul. Jared Spurgeon and Matt Cullen each scored a goal for the Wild. Niklas Backstrom had 13 saves for the Wild. Minnesota outshot Anaheim 25-16.

The Minnesota Wild won 2-1 in an overtime shootout at Edmonton Thursday night. Dany Heatley scored the lone Wild goal in regulation with just :02 left. Matt Cullen scored the game-winning goal in the shootout for Minnesota. Niklas Backstrom had 30 saves for the Wild.

The Pittsburgh Penguins beat the Minnesota Wild 4-2 at the Xcel Energy in St. Paul Tuesday night. Cal Clutterbuck and Guillaume Latendresse each scored a goal for the Wild and Niklas Backstrom had 21 saves for Minnesota. Jordan Staal, Chris Kunitz, James Neal and Pascal Dupuis each scored a goal for the Pens.
