The Vikings finalized the trade to acquire quarterback Donavan McNabb from Washington in exchange for a 6th round pick in 2012 and a conditional first round pick in 2013. McNabb reportedly agreed to restructure his contract. Terms of the new deal were not disclosed. McNabb was scheduled to make $14 Million this season. The deal is expected to be announced today.

The Vikings have a preliminary agreement according to ESPN to trade for Washington quarterback Donavan McNabb. The Vikings will send a 6th round pick in 2012 and a 6th round pick in 2013 to acquire McNabb. McNabb and the Vikings reportedly have also worked out a restructuring of his contract.

The Vikings and Minnesota State University-Mankato officials announced Monday that they are putting off the decision to have training camp in Mankato this season. The two parties are optimistic that a new collective bargaining agreement will be agreed upon by NFL owner and players this week ending the 4-month long lockout.

The Vikings and Ramsey County have a plan to pay for the estimated $131 Million in road improvements around a proposed new Vikings Stadium in Arden Hills. Team officials say both sides have identified state and federal grants that could supply $50 Million.

A lobbyist says the Minnesota Vikings and Ramsey County have a plan to pay for about half the $131 million cost in road improvements for a new stadium site in Arden Hills. Ramsey County lobbyist Nick Riley says the county could raise its share through grant money, toll lanes or a surcharge on car sales and the state would be asked to pay the other half of costs for commuter lanes.

Viking rookie quarterback Christian Ponder organized informal workouts for some Viking players. Ponder and quarterback Joe Webb worked out at a Florida football academy Tuesday with receivers Sidney Rice, Emaunel Arceneaux, Percy Harvin and tight ends Visanthe Shiancoe and Kyle Rudolph. Players arn't able to workout with coaches or at their team's facility because of the current NFL lockout.

St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman is proposing a 2-cent per drink sales tax statewide to finance a new Vikings stadium and resolve other stadium issues. Coleman says a statewide asset like the Vikings "deserves a statewide commitment."

Hennepin County Chairman Mike Opat says Hennepin County will not pursue an agreement with the Vikings to become the local partner the Vikings are in need of finding. The elimination of Hennepin County leaves Ramsey County and the city of Minneapolis as the two possibilities.

The Vikings selected 8 players in the final 4 rounds of the NFL draft Saturday. Minnesota also made one trade with Cleveland acquiring 2 6th round picks for 1 5Utah in the 5th roundth rounder. The players the Vikings picked are Defensive Tackle Christian Ballard of Iowa in the 4th round, cornerback Brandon Burton of
