Joe Webb fumbled the football on the last play on a first and goal from the Lions 9-yard line and the game ended with the Lions recovering. Lions linebacker DeAndre Levy appeared to grab the facemask of Joe Webb on the final play contributing to the fumble. No flag was thrown.

If Ponder can't play then Joe Webb will get the start at quarterback. Webb has been taking the first team snaps. Toby Gerhart will get the majority of the carries if Peterson cannot play.

Ponder still hopes to play and will need to practice in some capacity today. Peterson had missed the last 2 games games with a high ankle sprain and was limited in practice Thursday.

Viking quarterback Christian Ponder sustained a hip pointer injury Sunday after taking numerous hits against Denver Sunday. Head coach Leslie Frazier announced the injury to Ponder at his Monday press conference and said he is concerned about Ponder but the trainers say Ponder should be fine to play Sunday at Detroit. Ponder is likely to be limited in practice this week.
