Spielman Has 100% Belief in Ponder
Viking General Manager Rick Spielman said this week "I have full, 100 percent belief that Christian Ponder's going to be our quarterback heading into the future." Spielman made that statement Wednesday. Ponder is in his first full season as the starting quarterback for the Vikings. He has thrown for 2,027 yards and 12 touchdowns with 8 interceptions this season. His quarterback rating is 85.2.
Vikings Peterson Has Charges Dropped
Viking running back Adrian Peterson had misdemeanor resisting arrest charges dropped Tuesday stemming from an incident at the Houston Night Club on July 7. Peterson allegedly refused to leave the night club when originally asked and became combative with staff. Peterson was scheduled for a court appeared in Texas on Thursday.

The Vikings stadium could be in some trouble. According to Mike Florio of Profootballtalk.com Governor Mark Dayton isn't happy with the Vikings to 2 reasons. One is the Vikings willingness to play home games in London while the Stadium is being constructed and two because the Vikings are planning to raise their portion of the team's contribution toward the stadium by raising season-ticket costs with seat lisencing fees.
Vikings Top Lions 34-24 to Complete Season Sweep
The Vikings defeated the Detroit Lions 34-24 at home Sunday to sweep the season series against Detroit and improve to 6-4 while dropping Detroit to 4-5. Minnesota led 13-3 at halftime and held on in the 2nd half. Adrian Peterson ran for 171 yards on 27 carries and 1 touchdown plus he scored on a 2-point conversion. Kyle Rudolph was th top receiver for Minnesota with 7 catches for 64 yards and 1 touchdown for Minnesota.
Peterson, Harvin and Guion Miss Practice For Vikings
The Vikings practice without start players running back Adrian Peterson and receiver Percy Harvin Thursday. Defensive tackle Letroy Guion (turf toe) also missed practice for the Vikings Thursday. Peterson sat out because of an illness but is expected to play Sunday against Detroit. Harvin missed a 2nd straight day of practice with an ankle sprain. Harvin was spotted in the locker room limping badly.

The Vikings were back on the practice field Wednesday in preparation for their next game against Detroit Sunday at noon from Mall of America Field, pregame on WJON at 11am. Receiver Percy Harvin and defensive tackle Letroy Guion both missed practice Wednesday. Harvin is out with an ankle injury. He considered himself a "long shot" to play on Monday after spraining his left ankle in 3 spots against Seattle. The Vikings are holding out hope that Harvin can play against the Lions.
Harvin’s Ankle Could Keep Him From Playing Sunday
Viking receiver Percy Harvin sustained a sprained ankle in 3 different places Sunday against Seattle and the injury could force him to the sidelines against the Lions. Harvin returned the game Sunday at Seattle after sustaining the injury but he was favoring the ankle. Head coach Leslie Frazier said the sprain is not a high ankle sprain.
