Bruce Hentges and Denny Smith of LEAF joined me today to talk about the LEAF Night of the Stars fundraising shows. The variety shows will take place at the Paramount Theatre at 7pm Friday and Saturday nights.

The District 742 Local Education and Activities Foundation (LEAF) has opened a Homeless Student Services Fund to help area students in need.

A reading program for District 742's youngest students has received a major grant.The Otto Bremer Foundation has awarded nearly $30,000 to the Local Education and Activities Foundation for the "Partners And Kids Reading A Lot Together" - PAKRAT - program.

Students and staff in the St. Cloud Area school district will showcase their talents this weekend, during the 13th annual "Night Of The Stars" benefit.

St. Cloud area students will show off their talents during the 12th Annual "Night of the Stars" variety show. There are three performances scheduled: tonight (Friday) at 7:00 p.m., tomorrow (Saturday) at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at the Paramount Theatre in downtown St. Cloud.

As kids get ready to head back to school, you can help them out by adopting a classroom. The District 742 Local Education and Activities Foundation is again sponsoring their "Adopt a Classroom" project.
