The Minnesota Golden Gophers men's hockey team gained some separation in the Big Ten standings with a 4-1 win over the Penn State Nittany Lions on Friday night.
The St. Cloud State University men's hockey team came to play last (Friday) night after defeating Nebraska-Omaha 4-1 in game one of the weekend series. The Huskies took a 2-0 lead in early in second period thanks to Judd Peterson, but Nebraska-Omaha's Jake Guentzel brought it back within one thanks to a goal in the same period.
The Minnesota Gophers found a way to win last (Friday) night taking Ohio State to overtime and capturing the 3-2 victory. Junior Hudson Fasching put the gophers on top with the lone overtime goal.
