Gas prices took a big jump in the St. Cloud area last (Wednesday) night. Some stations selling a gallon of regular unleaded for $3.19 this (Thursday) morning. It's the highest the price has been since October 2008.

Gas prices in Minnesota increased by nearly seven cents last week. The website Minnesotagasprices.com says the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded in the state is now at $3.09.

If you were planning on filling-up on gas on your way home from work, be prepared to pay a lot more than you would have this morning.
