The St. Cloud Area School District has once again approved a tax abatement request for Marco Incorporated. The school board originally gave their approval last month, but decided to revisit the request and held a public hearing last (Monday) night.

The state government shutdown has put a construction project at St. Cloud's Madison Elementary on hold. The plan to add three new classrooms requires a review from the State Department of Labor and Industry.

Most of the principals in the St. Cloud area school system will be playing a game of musical chairs. Superintendent Bruce Watkins says the district has moved 13 administrators, affecting 10 different schools.

Marco Incorporated has been granted an approval of a tax abatement request from the St. Cloud Area school district. The board approved the $22,000 annual tax abatement at their meeting last (Wednesday) night.

The St. Cloud Police Department is conducting a training exercise at North Junior High today (Friday). The training will be from 10:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

Lunch and breakfast prices in the St. Cloud Area School District could go up by a nickel. The school board will consider a recommendation for the increase at their meeting tomorrow (Thursday) night.

The St. Cloud Police Department has released more information on the school bus crash that happened this (Monday) morning in southeast St. Cloud. Police say a Yellow Cab failed to stop for a stop sign on Lincoln Avenue Southeast, which caused the collision with the bus. The bus then crashed into a home on 15th Avenue Southeast.

The Local Education Activities Foundation has awarded just over $22,000 to programs in the St. Cloud Area School District. The money has been awarded to both their Academic Fund and their Activities Fund.

The St. Cloud Area School District will hold their annual surplus auction tomorrow (Saturday). The inspection begins at 8:00 a.m., with the sale starting at 9:00 a.m.
