Two people have been arrested for allegedly breaking into two south St. Cloud homes. Officers were called to the 400 block of 6th Avenue South at about 2:30 a.m. yesterday (Thursday) morning. About a half hour later they received a call about a break-in in the 700 block of 7th Avenue South.

Waite Park Police are investigating a series of burglaries overnight Wednesday into Thursday morning. Officers are investigating a total of five break-ins.

St. Cloud Police are reporting two more business burglaries. Someone broke into a business located in the 3900 block of Second Street South and also at a business located in the 3000 block of Division Street West.

St. Cloud police are investigating a rash of burglaries at businesses.

A rash of day-time burglaries have been reported in rural Stearns County. Sheriff John Sanner says there have been 48 reported so far this year in Eden Lake, Maine Prairie, Munson, Lynden, Avon, and LeSauk Townships, as well as in the cities of St. Augusta and Rockville.

Waite Park Police are investigating three business break-ins over the weekend. Police Chief Dave Bentrud says the front door was pried open in all three incidents.

Two new burglaries happened near SCSU this past week . More electronics have been stolen.

There has been a rash of burglaries in Southeast St. Cloud all year, and now that the St. Cloud State University students are back on campus, the number of break-ins seem to have only gotten worse.

Police are investigating a pair of residential St. Cloud burglaries. Electronics stolen from a north St. Cloud home and cash taken from a home in east St. Cloud.

We told you recently that more burglaries are occurring in St. Cloud compared to last year. But, don't think the St. Cloud Police Department isn't aware of the situation. Speaking on WJON this morning Police Chief Dennis Ballantine says they have created a task force to specifically investigate the break-ins.
