St. Cloud State University hosted the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk this morning, with over 500 walkers and 200 volunteers gathering together for the cause.

A medevac Blackhawk helicopter from the Minnesota National Guard helped the American Cancer Society celebrate their 10th Annual Golf Classic today at the Oak Hill Golf Club in Rice.
The American Cancer Society is pushing for a tax increase on cigarettes as a way to help solve the state's budget deficit. The organization is mobilizing volunteers to contact lawmakers and the governor and ask them to consider a $1.50 tax increase on a pack of cigarettes.
The annual Relay For Life event will be held in St. Cloud tonight (Friday). The fundraiser for the American Cancer Society starts at 6:00 p.m. at Apollo High School. It runs until 6:00 a.m. tomorrow morning.
