EDEN PRAIRIE (AP) - Eden Prairie police are urging volunteers not to conduct their own water searches for a woman missing about a month.

Police said Friday water levels are dangerously high for volunteers planning to search the Mississippi River for 24-year-old Mandy Matula.

In a statement, police say they are not endorsing volunteer-led water searches for Matula over the weekend.

Matula's brother, Steve, and family friend Josh Truax are helping lead the volunteer effort. Truax says the search has yet to be called off.

Matula was last seen May 1st arguing with ex-boyfriend David Roe as they left her Eden Prairie home. Matula's family reported her missing when she didn't show up for work. Roe fatally shot himself in the head in the Eden Prairie police parking lot.
