Paynesville Area Health Care System to Join CentraCare Health

PAYNESVILLE -- CentraCare Health has finalized their agreement to buy the Paynesville Area Health Care System.

Paynesville Hospital CEO Dennis Miley says they "have now reached an important milestone" in joining CentraCare Health.

CentraCare Health has agreed to make substantial capital improvements to the facility, including buying of a new MRI machine and ambulance. They'll also begin remodeling the Koronis Manor lobby and day room within six months.

In addition to the hospital in Paynesville, Paynesville Hospital operates clinics in Belgrade, Cold Spring, Eden Valley and Richmond.

The affiliation will go into effect October 1st, and took just over a year to complete.
