MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Shane Bauer is enjoying some quiet family time in Minnesota just two weeks after walking out of an Iranian prison.

Bauer arrived this week at his mother's rural home near Pine City with his fiancée, Sarah Shourd. His mother, Cindy Hickey, says the visit has been filled with walks in the country, sing-alongs around the fire and cooking meals together.

Bauer, Shourd and their friend Josh Fattal were arrested in 2009 while hiking near the Iraq-Iran border. Shourd was released after 14 months, but Bauer and Fattal spent more than two years in prison.

Hickey says Bauer isn't doing interviews. She says he is "trying to enjoy the simple fact that he's free."

Shourd has been living in Oakland, Calif. Fattal, an environmental activist, is from suburban Philadelphia.
