Kid’s Like To Fish? This Local Retailer Is Hosting A Kid’s Fishing Day

If you've got kids and they are curious about fishing, or they are fishing enthusiasts this event might be just the thing for you and your kids. Fleet Farm is hosting a Kid's Fishing Day at participating stores on Saturday, and it includes, while supplies last, a free kid's tackle box along with other fun activities.

According to an online event, and confirmed through the Waite Park Store's webpage, the Kid's Fishing Day will run from 10am to 2pm at the Waite Park Fleet Farm Store. Here is what parents and kids can expect according to the online event.

Bring your kids out for this annual fun and informative event to learn all things fishing from safety tips and tying knots, to identifying fish and how to cast. Plus, your kids will have the chance to take home their very-own FREE tacklebox! 

It also looks like kids will learn about knot tying, fishing safety, live bait, fish identification, types of fishing lines, casting with rod & reel combos, proper life vest fittings, plus fun and games.

As a person who enjoys the outdoors, particularly fishing, this type of event can spark a hobby in a child for the rest of their lives.

If you can't make this event, you might want to schedule some time to drop in line with your kids, nieces, or nephews just as a reminder to spend some time with those you love, they only stay little for so long.

Next weekend, Saturday the 20th, Fleet Farm in Waite Park is having another event, a community fundraiser.

Join us for Hot Dog Day of Summer! Help raise money for your local community and enjoy a quick and easy lunch. Grab a hot dog, bag of chips, and a bottle of water all for $1 each! All proceeds will be going back to local organizations within our communities. 

The $1 hotdog fundraiser will run from 11am to 1pm on Saturday July 20th.
