Saint Cloud State University has some interesting entertainment options on the horizon. First up is the SCSU Department of Music's "Celebrations of Community" program. Check out campus instrumental, choral ensembles, and community members as they present a varied mix of music, poetry, and readings celebrating acts of giving, sharing and community togetherness during the holiday season. The concert will happen on Sunday, December 5th at 3:00 p.m. in Stewart Hall's Ritsche Auditorium.

Then, take in an evening of spoken word poetry. SCSU will host a poetry slam in honor of the 10th anniversary of the school's James W. Miller Learning Resources Center. University students interested in participating can sign up to compete for prizes in the slam. Spoken word artist and St. Cloud State alum Ibe Kaba and twin cities-based hip-hop rapper and poet Desdamona will perform as well. It's happening  in the Atwood Center Cascade room on Tuesday, December 7 at 7:30 p.m.
