ST. CLOUD - After Governor Mark Dayton signs the gay marriage bill into law today (Tuesday), county license offices will get busy changing their paperwork.

Stearns County Service Center Supervisor Tina Gapinski says it's typical for them to update forms after legislative sessions.

Gapinksi says they'll also get to work shredding old documents.  She says she also expects there will be staff meetings and training sessions prior to the marriage law change on August 1st.

Stearns county issues between 1,200 and 1,500 marriage licenses per year, Gapinksi expects that number to be higher once same sex couple begin applying for marriage licenses.
