Chris Giminez had his first career two-home run game for Minnesota, and Eduardo Escobar continued his recent hot streak with three hits, including a home run. Escobar is 13-23 in the last week with three home runs and eight runs batted in.

The Minnesota Twins will be honoring Minneapolis icon Prince during a game with the Cleveland Indians. "Prince Night" is scheduled Friday night at Target Field.

The Minnesota Twins plan to host the club's first-ever draft party at Target Field Monday evening. The Twins will select first overall for the third time in club history.

Twins starting pitcher Hector Santiago opened the bottom of the first inning by issuing a pair of walks, then served up a three-run home run to Robinson Cano that put Minnesota in a 3-0 hole. Santiago lasted just 2.2 innings, allowing five runs on three hits and four walks.

A little bit of Twins history was made in the bottom of the fourth inning when the team pulled off a rare 5-4-3 triple play. Miguel Sano fielded Jefry Marte's ground ball, stepped on the third base bag to retire Albert Pujols, then fired to second baseman Brian Dozier to get Yunel Escobar before Dozier's relay to first to complete the play.

The Twins fall to 26-23 on the season with the loss. Minnesota will begin a series in Los Angeles Thursday night on WJON, with first pitch slated for 9:07.
