Attorney Says News Evidence Helps Amy Senser
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The attorney for the wife of former Minnesota Vikings tight end Joe Senser says new evidence will help exonerate his client in a fatal hit-and-run case.
Amy Senser has claimed she didn't know she struck a Roseville man on an Interstate 94 exit ramp in Minneapolis before she left the scene last August. Her attorney, Eric Nelson, says the recently-completed investigation revealed additional proof that Senser didn't know she struck Anousone Phanthavong. Senser made a brief court appearance in Hennepin County Thursday on a second felony count filed against her. A trial is scheduled April 23.
Nelson plans to file a motion asking a judge to dismiss the charges against Senser because of a lack of probable cause.
