ST. JOSEPH -- Area disc golfers will help raise money for local food charities during the 21st annual St. Cloud Ice Bowl at Millstream Lions Park tomorrow (Saturday).

Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. Golfers can compete for the top cash prize. A portion of the entry fee will be donated to the local food shelf.

Your registration fee depends upon your skill level. There is a $25 fee for professional golfers, $20 for advanced and $15 for amateurs.

Event organizer, Rick Rentz says if you've never played disc golf before you may want to rethink making the 20 hole competition your first time.

He says under no circumstances will the Ice Bowl be canceled or postponed.

The colder the weather, the better. People are fined a dollar every time they complain about the temperature and weather conditions. That money is then donated to the food shelf.

The 2008 competition saw temperatures of 40 below zero.

The park shelter will be open, and a bon-fire will be on-site.

Last year, there were close to 100 participants that raised more than ten-thousand dollars for the local food charities.
