ANOKA, Minn. (AP) - An Anoka man is being held on $2 million bond in connection with the death of a 95-year-old victim.

Twenty-seven-year-old Isaiah Montrell Thomas appeared in Anoka County District Court Friday. He's charged with two counts of second-degree murder in the death of Albert John Loehlein.

A criminal complaint accuses Thomas of fatally beating the elderly man and stealing several possessions from his home. Loehlein's body was found Monday in a bedroom by a family member who stopped by to drop off groceries. The complaint says Loehlein may have been dead one or two days.

Investigators said fingerprints found at the home matched Thomas' prints which were on file from his earlier criminal convictions.

The Anoka County Attorney's Office says it's not immediately clear if Thomas has an attorney.
