ALBANY -- An Albany woman was hit by a vehicle while she was crossing the street Tuesday afternoon.

The incident happened shortly after 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of 4th Street and Railroad Avenue in Albany.

Albany Police Chief Ozzie Carbajal says 65-year-old Arnold Mager of Albany was driving west on Railroad Avenue when he struck 83-year-old Marie Dobmeier of Albany as she was walking north across the street.

Dobmeier was in the crosswalk when she was hit.  She was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital to be treated for her injuries.
