ST. CLOUD - United Way of Central Minnesota is getting ready to kick off a large-scale volunteer effort. It's called the "Week of Action" and it includes organizations all across central Minnesota.

There are still 180 different volunteer opportunities from September 26th through the 30th with all sorts of non-profits in communities throughout central Minnesota.

United Way Community Volunteer Coordinator Mary Krippner says there are all sorts of different activities for volunteers.

The week will round out with a volunteer expo next Friday, September 30th from  2:30-5:00 pm at the St. Cloud Public Library, where people can learn more about how to stay involved with different organizations on a long-term basis.
