The former head wrestling coach at St. Cloud State University is getting a national honor. John Oxton has been selected to receive the "Lifetime Service Award" from the National Wrestling Hall of Fame.

The Foley wrestling team finished 4th Thursday in the Class AA State Wrestling Tournament. Foley lost to Scott West 33-24 in the 3rd place match at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.

Making it to the state tournament is the goal for every high school sports team. But for the Foley wrestling team it's become a tradition.

Austin Brenner picked up his 146th career win on Friday, January 27th. The win, though by forfeit, added onto an already stellar career.

The St. Cloud State University wrestling team has developed into a dynasty. They're the two-time defending national champions in Division II, and they're ranked #1 in the nation this year in the pre-season polls.

St. Cloud State University celebrated the Wrestling team on their first National Championship in Atwood Memorial Center. This is also the University's first National Championship honors. Head Coach Steve Costanzo, along with wrestlers Tim Prescott, Austin Goergen, and Clint Poster spoke to the crowd of wresting fans.

This week's All-Star Student has had an impressive athletic year. Being a state champion in football, and wrestling, this Holdingford senior is looking forward to his baseball season, as well as moving onto collegiate football next fall.

Holdingford Senior Zach Scott has been wrestling for thirteen years, five of which as a member of the varsity squad. Since making varsity during his eighth grade year Scott has been a winning wrestler. During the 2014 Big Bear Wrestling Classic Scott won his 150th match, and still has the rest of the season to keep winning.

The #4 ranked St. Cloud State wrestling team extended its dual match win streak to eight with a 39-6 victory over the University of Mary on Saturday.
