Joshua Akkerman

I grew up in southern Minnesota near the town of Austin. There I worked for a video production company, and my love for video just grew from there. I attended St. Cloud State University majoring in Mass Communications. After graduating in 2011, I moved to Duluth to take a job as a director at The Northlands Newscenter. I spent three years there, and finally decided that it was time to move back to St. Cloud, and that is how I ended up here at Townsquare Media. Outside of work I enjoy fishing, riding motorcycle, playing bass guitar, and camping with my family.

The Weekender : Drawing Class, Rock Concerts, and More in Central Minnesota

This week we feature a few concerts with music from classic rock bands, as well as a new art exhibit coming to the College of St. Benedict. New York based Baroque Ensemble, REBEL, also set to perform.
