Police responded to an alarm of a bank robbery this (Sunday) morning. The MidCountry Bank branch at 113 Waite Avenue South was robbed just before 11:00 a.m.

The Waite Park police department is investigating a pair of daytime residential burglaries. The first one happened sometime Friday in the 1100 block of Ashwood Court. The second incident was on Sunday in the 2100 block of County Road 6.

A Waite Park man who admitted to trying to kill his wife has been sentenced to more than 14 years in prison. 44-year-old Joseph Benson had earlier pleaded guilty to first degree attempted murder stemming from the August 2011 incident.

The Subway store in Waite Park was robbed last (Sunday) night. Police say the incident happened just before 8:00 p.m. at 1301 2nd Street South.

Three people for allegedly selling methamphetamine. The Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force executed a search warrant at 45 Maple Street Northeast in Waite Park.

A Waite Park man has admitted to trying to kill his wife. 43-year-old Joseph Benson pleaded guilty to first degree attempted murder stemming from the August 2011 incident. Court records show the couple was having marital problems when Benson used a knife to attack his wife.

A St. Joseph man escaped injury after allegedly falling asleep and crashing his vehicle into a Waite Park business Monday night.

A crash between a car and an ambulance delayed a patient's trip to the hospital, but did not injure her. Waite Park Police were called to the intersection of Stearns County Road 75 and 28th Avenue just before 10:00 this morning.

Arrested for driving a tractor drunk. Waite Park police responded to a report of a man who fell off a moving tractor.

Waite Park Police are investigating a series of burglaries overnight Wednesday into Thursday morning. Officers are investigating a total of five break-ins.
