The bid results for the St. Joseph Government Center came in less than expected. The council met Thursday night to review the results. Bidding opened on April 22nd.
Sauk Rapids Mayor Mark Campbell, and other city leaders, broke ground on the future site of their new Government Center. The new City Hall, Police Headquarters, and Community Center will be built at the corner of Summit Avenue and 2nd Street - adjacent to the Public Works Facility.
A groundbreaking ceremony will be held tomorrow (Tuesday) for the new Sauk Rapids Government Center. The groundbreaking is at 2:00 p.m. tomorrow (Tuesday).
The Sauk Rapids City Council has voted to spend more money now, in order to save money in the long run. During last (Monday) night's meeting the council approved $93,000 in energy efficiency upgrades for their new Government Center.
