St. Cloud’s Unemployment Rate Drops Half-Percent in August

UNDATED - The St. Cloud metro area got some good employment news today (Tuesday).  The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development says our unemployment rate dropped a half-percent in August, compared to July.  Local unemployment is now at 6.5%.  That's our lowest August unemployment rate since 2008.

St. Cloud's unemployment rate is slightly better than the state, which is at 6.7%, and we're doing much better than the nation, which is still at 9.1%.
