St. Cloud Metro Unemployment Rate Dips in March

ST. CLOUD - The unemployment rate for the St. Cloud metro area went down slightly last month. The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development says the unemployment rate for March is at 4.8 percent, down from the five percent it was at for both January and February.

In March of last year the local unemployment rate was six percent.

Our local unemployment rate is higher than the statewide average of 3.7 percent, but lower than the national average of 5.5 percent.
